Oct 13 2014 Sitia Crete Greece

Since we arrived the sky has been clear - most days the temperature has been over 30 C.
This morning was partly overcast and it rained for about half an hour.
We had the included breakfast in the courtyard. Breads, toast, boiled eggs, cereal, yoghurt, ham and cheese, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, an assortment
We ventured down to the beach, not many people, a few were swimming.
It's 23 C at 10 am and when the sun is out it feels hot. Jeff swam for half an hour, I waded in to cool off

As noon approached it was quite hot so we retired to the air conditioned comfort of our room.
Wow our room was clean, fresh towels and linen.

We eventually headed out to Seasons for lunch.

Back at the beach, more people but not crowded, I needed shade! Jeff was in the water for an hour
Gee this is tedious, more beach, more eating out at seaside cafes, more pictures of the Mediterranean.
We like it here.
Well some people are eating turkey back home, Canadian Thanksgiving. We opted for Greek pizza and mineral water.

The waitress brought us a complimentary plate of fruit and cake and a wee glass of Raki.
We like this place!

Now the sun is setting in Sitia.

Tomorrow we head back to Chania. Our beach interlude is soon over.
